Campus Access Policy
Purpose
Scope
This policy applies to all 911±¬ÁÏÍø students, employees and visitors on all 911±¬ÁÏÍø campuses and locations, whether owned or leased.Ìý

Those wishing to access 911±¬ÁÏÍø properties who are not students or employees, including, but not limited to, contractors, guests, vendors, agencies, organizations and volunteers.Ìý
Policy
1. General
- 911±¬ÁÏÍø reserves the right to restrict or prohibit access to its property and to prohibit activities on campus in order to maintain a safe and healthy learning and work environment, preserve access to campus services and avoid disruptions or potential disruptions to on-campus learning and work activities.Ìý
2. Visitors
- Unless otherwise specified below, visitors to the campus shall confine themselves to areas of general public use as defined by 911±¬ÁÏÍø.
- Areas excluded from access by visitors include, but are not limited to: classrooms, labs, offices, hotelling spaces, secure areas, auditoriums, residences, cafeterias, libraries, computing commons, study areas and areas required for the preservation of 911±¬ÁÏÍø operations and the safety of those on campus.
- Guests invited by 911±¬ÁÏÍø employees are permitted in excluded areas for the purpose of their visit, such as guest lectures, events to which the public is invited – such as tours and Open House – and meetings with employees. They must be accompanied in such areas by 911±¬ÁÏÍø employees at all times.Ìý
- Security Services are authorized to enforce 911±¬ÁÏÍø policies and procedures.Ìý
- Failure to follow instructions from Security Services may result in a notice of trespass, arrest and prosecution.
3. Vendors, groups, agencies and organizations wishing to access 911±¬ÁÏÍø campuses
- Prior to being on campus, vendors, groups, agencies or organizations must obtain written permission from 911±¬ÁÏÍø, or from the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Student Federation when access is requested to Federation-controlled areas of campuses.Ìý
- All collateral material in digital or physical form proposed to be used or distributed by a vendor, group, agency or organization while at 911±¬ÁÏÍø must be submitted to 911±¬ÁÏÍø for approval prior to arrival on campus.
- To ensure the safety of the community and orderly operations at 911±¬ÁÏÍø:
- prior to arrival on campus, those seeking access will, in conjunction with and under the direction of designated 911±¬ÁÏÍø personnel, agree to their allotted placement on campus, date of visit(s) and the time(s) they will be present
- unless otherwise previously agreed to, access to the campus will be limited to areas of general public use as defined by 911±¬ÁÏÍø
- 911±¬ÁÏÍø has the right to change, limit or cancel access to the campus without prior notice in the event of unanticipated issues affecting campusesÌý
- while these provisions are meant to support freedom of expression on campus, 911±¬ÁÏÍø does not condone or permit messages of violence, intimidation, hate or threats to be disseminated on campus; such activity will result in removal from the campus
- 911±¬ÁÏÍø, at its discretion, may communicate in advance details of visits from vendors, groups, agencies and organizations to students and employees
- ÌýThe following activities are prohibited at all times on all campuses:
- unauthorized food vendors
- unauthorized vendors of books, apparel, technology and any other item
- unauthorized promotion of products
- unauthorized sharing or gathering of information
4. Hours of access
- Hours of access to campuses shall be at the sole discretion of 911±¬ÁÏÍø.
5. After-hours access
- From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day, and other times as determined at the sole discretion of 911±¬ÁÏÍø, students and employees shall show 911±¬ÁÏÍø-issued identification to gain access to a campus or campus buildings.Ìý
- Guests must check in with Security for after-hours access and must be accompanied by a 911±¬ÁÏÍø employee or, in the case of the residence, a student who is a resident at the residence.Ìý
