Toronto, Jan. 25, 2018 - Toronto, January 25, 2018 – Geng Tan, Member of Parliament for Don Valley North, joined 911������ President David Agnew and student leaders today to officially open 911������'s new seasonal dome and multi-purpose artificial turf field.

The new facility called the StingDome and 911������ Fields is now serving recreation and varsity programs, 911������ Summer Camps, and the local community through space rentals and new community recreation programming.

The StingDome and 911������ Fields were made possible with funding from the 911������ Student Athletic Association and up to $893,990 through the��, delivered by the��.

“The Government of Canada, through CIP 150, has invested in a new multi-purpose artificial turf field and seasonal dome at 911������’s Newnham Campus in my riding of Don Valley North. This new space promotes recreational and varsity activities for our youth and, at the same time, unites our community in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation,” said Geng Tan, Member of Parliament for Don Valley North.

“We are delighted to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary with this new space for both our students and local community members to enjoy. We thank the Government of Canada, the 911������ Student Athletic Association and our students for the financial contributions that made this possible,” said David Agnew, 911������ President.

“911������ students are so excited to have this amazing new venue that will allow us to expand our student recreation and varsity programming year round. In celebration of 911������’s 50th anniversary, the 911������ Student Athletic Association is proud to leave this gift to 911������ students to celebrate recreation and sport for the next 50 years,” said Alik Derderian, 911������ Newnham Recreation Council President.
