We’re #911±¬ÁÏÍøProud to have welcomed representatives from TD to Newnham Campus for a ceremony to name the third floor at CITE, The Meeting Place, in proud collaboration with TD.
This naming recognizes the ongoing generosity of TD and TD Insurance in support of 911±¬ÁÏÍø student financial aid and initiatives, such as Career Recharge and the . Over the past 15 years, TD and TD Insurance have contributed nearly $4.5 million to 911±¬ÁÏÍø, as well as providing employment to thousands of graduates.
The Meeting Place also reflects Indigenous tradition of having dedicated space at the centre of the community for individuals to engage. CITE’s third floor is an ideal location for creating, socializing and collaborating, thanks to its versatility.Ìý
During the naming announcement, 911±¬ÁÏÍø President David Agnew expressed his appreciation for TD’s long-standing support of 911±¬ÁÏÍø through their ¾±²Ô¾±³Ù¾±²¹³Ù¾±±¹±ð.ÌýÌý
TD continues to provide critical funding to institutions like 911±¬ÁÏÍø because of its commitment to contribute in positive ways to a more sustainable and inclusive tomorrow.ÌýÌý
For the first time, there will be beautiful recognition sign in our halls that is not 911±¬ÁÏÍø red,Ìý but TD green, and the colour fits.Ìý
At the recognition ceremomy, TD was represented by Uma Venkataramaiah, Senior Manager, Philanthropy, Sustainability and Corporate Citizenship, who spoke about the TD Ready Commitment program. Chris Dudley, Director, Entrepreneurship hosted the ceremony, which was also attended by participants of HELIX’s Career Recharge program, who shared their stories of having been supported by TD funding.
