Academic and Career Support

Ìý

As an international student, moving from your home country to a new country is a significant change. In your early days in Canada you may experience a number of academic or cultural differences. Cultural differences may arise from experiencing a different physical environment, customs and practices. While academic differences can arise from different teaching and learning styles, relationships between teacher and students and methods of assessment.

While cultural differences can be short lived and diminish over time, academic differences may persist longer and affect your academic performance. To help you with your transition, 911±¬ÁÏÍø has many resources available to help you become more comfortable in adapting to the new academic culture.

You are encouraged to familiarize yourself with 911±¬ÁÏÍø's Academic Policies. This will help you to become aware of the academic policies and procedures and better understand your responsibilities as a student.
